About the Films
Structured around five separate takes filmed across the work week, Exit (2008, HD, color, 40 minutes) captures the temporal and physical “shift” from labour to rest of workers exiting the ironworks and observes the subtle differences and symmetries that sustain the rhythm of factory labour.
Podwórka (2009, 16mm film transferred to HD, color/sound, 31 minutes) is an exploration of a specific place and an evocation of the resourcefulness of childhood, that takes as its subject matter the courtyards of Łódź, Poland, and the children that inhabit them.
EVENTIDE (2022, 4K video, color/sound, 30 minutes), a non-narrative long shot that uses choreography to explore landscape, communal relations, solitary searching, psychic endurance, and the play of light moving through darkness.
